Learning to drive is an exciting but really daunting part of your life but this was eased due to John Mell's calm, kind and funny, but professional nature. It's always a nerve racking time, but he was always fully supportive and extremely patient! I would highly recommend John as he was always considerate of when I was busy, so would arrange a lesson that was best for me, so I never once had to worry about missing lessons or taking longer to learn. He was also on time for every lesson and made sure that I achieved the most out of each of them. I was able to learn at my pace allowing me to grow in confidence, which helped me to deal with any problems faced on the road, making me a more confident and safer driver. I don't think I could have had a better and kinder instructor, so he is a huge credit to the L Plates Company. Tamara Jelley. Reigate.

Jim is a great instructor, very patient and calm. And as soon as you are ready he will help you prepare for the test and not just keep booking lessons for no reason. Jim always has a clear structure for progress which makes it easy to see how well your are doing.

Having Terry as a driving instructor was absolutely amazing! If there is a person out there who doesn't know you but has complete confidence in you its Terry. He is a brilliant instructor always making sure you're feeling comfortable and relaxed. He always has he faith of his learners - chucked me straight into driving on my first lesson and didn't look back since! Terry is such a lovely, calm and friendly person he became more of a friend to me than an instructor. He knows when your ready for test, even if you don't have faith in yourself, you know Terry does! I really could not thank Terry enough for all his help and hard work he put in with teaching me to drive. I have recommended two people to Terry already and will continue to recommend more! I'd just like to say a massive thank you to my instructor Frank for being so patient and supportive over the last 11 months. The thought of driving absolutely terrified me, but Frank is brilliant, especially if you're a little nervous at first! We took it slow and steady so the pressure wasn't there, but Frank always knows when it's time to push you on a little further and when the time is right to make progress without it being scary. Passing first time with 2 minors shows how Frank can build your confidence from being very nervous to completely assured on the road. Would recommend to anyone! Natalie Willmott. Worthing.

I had Jim Eckford as my driving instructor in Brighton and I passed my driving test first time with him with only 3 minors. Previously I had failed a few tests with another instructor on RED. I found L PLates online and was booked in with Jim. He is a really great teacher and nice guy, interesting to chat too and really helped me get all the required knowledge to pass the test! Jim Eckford was a wonderful teacher. He was patient, professional and understanding, and really took the time to make me feel at ease. He has a great teaching manner and helps you understand all the processes needed to learn to drive. I started lessons in March and passed my test in June.
