Having previously been unsuccessful in my driving test before coming to university, I felt that it was time to find a new driving school and instructor who could help me improve my driving skills so that I could pass my test with confidence. And I did- today!! Ray from L Plates was not only a friendly and encouraging instructor, but he also tailored each lesson to my requirements, so that I was continuously improving and becoming a confident yet safe driver. Although a popular instructor, Ray always found suitable times for me to have my lessons and even picked me up from right outside my flat! I'm so glad that I had Ray to guide me with my driving as I genuinely do enjoy it now, something which I never thought would be possible! I was so releived and happy to pass my test today and honestly don't think it could have happened without Ray's professional but relaxed instructing! Thank-you so much! Kate Surplice. Brighton.

Mark Napier was recommended to me by a friend. I had to wait a month for him to fit me in, and once I started, I was so glad I had waited. 

Having learnt in a manual 15 years ago, failing my test and giving up, I'd built up a fear of driving and lacked a lot of confidence. Mark put me at ease immediately, he didn't patronise me, and he really tapped in to the skills I had already acquired all those years ago and to my way of learning. He was patient and calm and moreover - he listened to me. I always felt that if I didn't understand a concept or technique, that I could ask him to explain it again, and he would, over and over until the penny finally dropped! Mark, not only helped me to pass my test, I truly believe he has made me a safe driver. The manner in which he taught me was exemplary and I would happily recommend him to anyone wanting to learn in an automatic.

Hi I passed my driving test first time today!

I don't think I could have done it without the help and consistent reassurance from Frank McLaren. He was truly amazing! I have been learning to drive on and off for three years as I just couldn't find a instructor that I felt comfortable with. I honestly didn't think I would ever pass! That is until i found L Plates, within my first lesson I felt completely different from driving with other instructors, he keeps you calm, teaches you so much. I actually enjoyed my lessons and really looked forward to them! I honestly didn't think I would be passing my test first time I was a nervous driver but Frank made me completely forget about all my worries and made me realise I can do it! I can't thank Frank enough he was so patient and helpful!

I can't praise my instructor, Terry Bardsley and L Plates Driving School highly enough! Initially, I was very nervous about driving. However, Terry changed everything. I had a friend who was taught to drive by Mark. She recommended him to me im so glad she did because I found Mark to be friendly which put me at ease straight away as I was very nervous, he was so patient throughout even when I lost patience with myself he encouraged me. Mark has a very relaxed way of teaching and very good at explaining how to do things i.e reversing into bays and around corners. I've just passed my driving test and am completely over the moon! My instructor, Frank McLaren, had the patience of a saint and never gave up on me! Often he knew if I was going to make a mistake before I'd even done it. Franks' knowledge of Eastbourne and Hastings is amazing and I was never board as always took on new routes and challenges.
