Learning to drive is both daunting and exciting. I came to L-Plates following a 7 year hiatus from driving lessons with a different company. I felt frustrated with myself that I didn't persevere first time round.
After my first lesson with Dave, he told me I should book my practical test (having passed my theory already). I was sceptical. But after a couple more lessons; I did. His belief in my abilities was far greater than my own, but it's a testament to him and his teaching style that all of that confidence is passed onto you.
If I ever felt unsure, a few words from Dave would quickly calm my nerves.
He seems to know what you're thinking and stressing about before you've even had a chance to formulate your concerns into a sentence.
His focus on the end goal (passing your practical) is exactly the same as yours, and he will help you get there in no time.
On a personal note, although I'm chuffed to pieces to have passed my test, I am going to miss our weekly two hour lessons no end.
Dave is a kind, intelligent man that I respect a great deal.
He is also hilarious.
