I found Jim Eckford to be incredibly patient and calm (even when I messed up), and he had a really good way of explaining both manouvres and general driving technique so it stuck in my head. More importantly, he explained the theory behind a lot of the things we did in our lessons, so I had a much better understanding of driving through the handful of lessons I had with Jim than I did with my previous instructor. He always went out of his way to fit lessons into his busy schedule and always had good stories to keep us entertained during our drives.
